Disassembly and cleaning – After complete disassembly, Wood and keys are fully cleaned. Keys are buffed and polished.

Wood body restoration– Small cracks and chips on all joints and body are fully restored and oiled. We check other hidden leak issues by air leak tester machine.

Tone holes – Tone holes are resurfaced to make them sharp for a better pad setting.

Eliminating key noise – All keys are tightened by expanding the key to reduce key noise and prevent breaking away pad settle from tone hole, which makes air leaks.

New pads, New tenon corks, New felts – All materials are replaced. We recommend using synthetic pads on upper and lower bodies which are firm, make less noise, a smooth performance and lasing quality. However, we can use other pads (double skin, kangaroo leather, cork) by customer request.

Spring Tension – All spring tension are readjusted as comfortable and right.

Check air leak – Clarinet is double checked by air leak tester machine, and we adjust ring height as every player has a different finger size.

Final Play Test – It is last step. We play test every clarinet after the overhaul service is  done to make sure everything is right.

 

Full Overhaul Service come with two years warranty on pads and other materials.
